【Characteristics】Its scientific name is hedysarum polybotrys and its production is scarce. With pure drug properties, it has better efficacy than astragalus. Acclaimed as a qi-supplementing panacea, it is interchangeable with astragalus. According to the Theory of Medicinal Property and Compendium of Materia Medica, it is only used in ancient Chinese royal herbal formulas.
