【Characteristics】Coriolus treats swelling and abscesses, according to the Shennong's Classic of Materia Medica; and calms the nerves, prolongs life, disinhibits joints and strengthens sinew and bone, according to the Compendium of Materia Medica. In modern-day TCM and western medicine, coriolus is used to prevent and fight cancer, with clear effects in liver cancer treatment. Yunzhi Gantai Granules and Polystictus Glycopeptide Capsules, which are made with coriolus extracts, are mainly used to treat liver diseases. Modern pharmacological studies have shown that coriolus can improve immunity, regulate internal secretion and protect central nervous, circulation and respiratory systems.
